Welcome to the website of NHS Bolton - the everyday name for Bolton Primary Care Trust. NHS Bolton is responsible for improving the health of Bolton and making sure NHS services are available for local people. 

NHS Bolton is responisble for buying healthcare for people in the borough. We work with providers, such as the Royal Bolton Hospital, who assess and treat patients. 

We also work to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents by providing advice and support so they can have a healthier and more active lifestyle.

Our community services division moved to the Bolton NHS Foundation Trust in July.

These services include:

• district nurses
• health visitors
• school nurses
• services provided at health centres and clinics.
