    Greater Manchester Primary Care Trust Cluster

     

    The Greater Manchester Primary Care Trust Cluster has been formed to oversee the change between local primary care trusts (PCTs) and GP consortia, who are due to take over commissioning responsibilities from PCTs in 2013.

    How has the PCT board changed?

    The Greater Manchester PCT Cluster, referred to as NHS Greater Manchester, was established in May.  A cluster, or joint, board has been established which has taken on the statutory functions of each of the 10 PCTs across Greater Manchester.

    The previous individual PCT board meetings will now be replaced by locality boards and details of these meetings will be made available shortly.

    What does this mean for me?

    The new NHS Greater Manchester Cluster board will meet in public and you wlll be able to attend them as you have done your local PCT board meeting.
