The latest healthy food and fitness programme for kids in Bolton is about to take place.
NHS Bolton is giving away places on the MEND programme to give more children and families the chance to become fitter, healthier and happier.
MEND stands for mind, exercise, nutrition…do it. It is a group programme for children between the ages of seven and 13 who are over the healthy weight range for their age and height, and aims to help them become healthier and active with the support of their parents or carers.
The programme is free and lasts for 10-weeks. It includes nutrition, physical activity and behaviour change. The next programme starts in February in Farnworth, running twice a week for two hours in the evenings.
