Your services

NHS Bolton is responsible for making sure NHS services are available for people in Bolton , and those living just outside the boundaries who are registered with a Bolton GP.

Some of the services are provided by independent contractors - GPs, dentists, opticians and pharmacists - and some are provided by other organisations -mainly NHS trusts and foundation trusts, but sometimes providers from the private or voluntary sector.

Community services, which are provided in health centres and clinics and include services such as district and school nursing, are now provided by Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.

Information about these services will continue to be provided in this section of the website for the time being.

To receive many of these services you need to talk to your own GP first. If you have difficulty getting the services you think you need or are confused about how to get services, you can talk to our Patient Advice and Liaison Service. Phone 01204 462701 or email PALS@bolton.nhs.uk
