Services we commission

Services for children and young people

For children and young people in Bolton, most services are provided in primary care by their own family doctor and the team at the surgery, and by community staff  provided by NHS Bolton, such as health visitors and school nurses.

For some children more specialist care is required, and wherever possible we try to make sure this is delivered at home, or in the local community - for example at special schools.
