The Bladder and Bowel Service is a team of specialist nurses and specialist physiotherapists who have advanced knowledge of the treatment and management of bladder and bowel problems, including continence problems. We work with patients of all ages, carers and other healthcare staff to provide people with bladder and bowel problems with evidenced based treatment and management of their problems.
The overall aim of our service is to give people with bladder and bowel problems the opportunity to achieve a cure of their problem or where a cure is not achievable to provide the best management solutions.
The service offers a friendly, empathetic, and confidential approach to assessment and treatment of bladder and bowel problems. We offer an open referral system so that people with bladder and bowel problems can access the service easily. We also accept referrals from Primary healthcare staff, GP’s and Consultants.
We offer a range of assessment and treatment clinics that are led by the specialist nurses and physiotherapists.
If you have particular training issues relating to continence care please contact the service directly as customised training packages are also available.
