Services we provide

Minor surgery

Who we are

We are a small team of professionals led by two clinicians with a special interest in minor surgical procedures (GPwSI)

(Please note - has recently re-located from Pikes Lane to improved premises at Waters Meeting Health Centre.)

How the team works

The overall aim of our service is to ensure that all our patients receive a high standard of quality care without unnecessary delay.  We also aim to meet Bolton’s local target of a maximum four weeks wait for community services from referral to discharge.

What do we offer?

The treatment programmes involve assessment, explanation, consent, treatment, and post operative information.  The treatment plan involves the injection of local anaesthetic prior to surgical removal of moles, warts, lipomata, sebacous cyst, skin tags and other skin lesions all carried out in a “one stop shop” appointment.

Support to professionals

The Minor Ops Team also offers support and training for Health Care Professionals who work within the minor surgical suite.

How to access the service

The service is accessed by GP referral to the Referral Booking and Management Service (RBMS)
