Link Workers 

Who we are

An advisory and translation service, directed to support the health needs of the Asian people.

We are a team of two staff, who work with Asian people on an individual and group basis.

We work within the community, primarily within GP surgeries and at local Health Centres

How the Service works:

The overall aim of our service is:

-           To provide advice on health services to the Asian population of Bolton.

-           To assist Asian people to obtain and access health services relevant to their needs

-           To provide a translation and interpretation service and thereby assist the Asian people to communicate their health problems and needs to professionals.

-           To assist healthcare professionals to communicate and agree appropriate treatment plans with Asian patients.

What do we offer?

A link between the Asian patient and the health service professional

Support to Professionals

The Link Worker service also offers support and education for Health Care Professionals who work with the Asian population
